From the text on verso: “The Rev. William Jones, Negro minister and a leader of the protest movement, urges Negroes to disperse after a brief flare-up at the construction site of the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., July 31. The Negroes were picketing in an effort to halt all publicly funded construction until more Negroes are hired for construction jobs. The pickets dispersed voluntarily.”
