“Outside the church a young woman, Ethel, is chatting with the reverend Mr Scott when her old friend Bessie appears. Bessie is a wild party girl, interested in drinking, men and dancing. Ethel introduces Bessie to the reverend’s daughter Lilli-Mae, a good christian girl. Bessie is about to corrupt this unhip and common young woman, when a group of gospel singers begin to perform in the church.” (IMDb)
